Hey, all! Thanksgiving is approaching and I am thinking of getting out the Christmas boxes from the attic and starting to decorate the house...
Hello, everyone! For those of you who have been following along with me for the past month or so, I am finally over my sickness! Yay! I still have a little laryngitis, but I am, at last, feeling like myself again. And it is right in the nick of time because soon I will be taking the trip of a lifetime with my son and his family and my husband, of course, and I needed to get better!
With this newfound health, I am trying to get back into a routine, one in life and one in blogging. I have gently been decorating for Easter, but only gently, since my energies have been going in the direction of getting ready for my trip. However, I did add a tiny bit of Easter in the bedroom and wanted to share it with you.
The tiny bit is this embroidered rabbit-shaped pillow. It just so happened that the colors of the embroidery blended well with the pillows on the bed. It is the right place for the rabbit pillow.
He adds just enough to give an Easter vibe.
I own a hand-painted ceramic bunny that would have looked nice on the nightstand but
I just remembered it and never thought to include it here. Shame on me!
I did, however, put this cute bunny eared container on the other nightstand.
Hopfully (haha!) I get credit for that!
The Easter effect is slight but still cute.
The other parts of the bedroom are purely functional and
decorative in nature. I should have organized the jewelry holder here but,
I guess I am not totally back to myself because it never occurred to me :).
The bedroom is soothing and that was what I was going for when I started decorating it two years ago when we moved into this house. There are still more
pieces of furniture, like a storage bench at the end of the bed, I would like to incorporate
into the room. The closet and storage space in the bedroom and the house, for that matter,
are a little lacking. A storage bench would really help out that situation.
Something this room does not lack, however, is a beautiful view out to the
backyard. I love it and enjoy it pretty much every day!
It is really beautiful in the spring with flowering trees.
I have added a few snippets of Easter decor around the house, as well. I hope to share those with you next week, along with an Easter flower arrangement.
One last thing, part of getting back into a routine in my life is being able to see my grandkids again. I had the pleasure of babysitting this little one on Monday. He has an ear infection and was leery of me taking his picture but, isn't he the cutest??!!
Have a great weekend!
