Decorating the Bedroom With New Holiday Bedding!

Hey there!  As some of you may know, I like to decorate for Christmas.  I have always loved to do so and to be honest, I am now somewhat known for my holiday decorating.  My husband, children and

grandchildren enjoy seeing everything set up and really would not let me off the hook, even if I wanted to be.  This year I added something new, Christmas bedding!  I stole the idea from my daughter, Brittany, when she purchased a set from HomeGoods.  She chose a

pattern with woodland animals on it because she has little children and also because she loves woodland animals.  I love animals also, but I went for the more traditional print of poinsettias and

Holly berries.

The bedding set came with a quilt-type bedspread and two pillow shams.  Lucky for me, I

already owned white pillow shams, a red throw and the accent pillow shown below.  These

items created the layers I was looking for.  It is a popular look right now, and I can see why.

It adds so much dimension.

The look is not over the top, but I am totally enjoying it for the holidays.

After I had the bedding the way I wanted it, I needed to accessorize the rest

of the room.  Again, not over the top but just enough.

I placed a few knick knacks on the bureau and end tables.

And then, I added a string of star lights over the headboard.  I thought after taking

the photos I would remove them from the bed but, we've kept them up.

It's fun!!

I also decorated the baskets above the headboard, as well.

I had purchased a very inexpensive faux garland of greens and cut it up to use in small areas

around the house.  Real sprigs would have been nice, but I didn't want the needles going

all over the bed as the fresh garland dried.  I do have some fresh garland that I will put over my kitchen window but, I will wait a few more days to do that. The gold ribbon used here came from the packaging of the bedding set.

It was all a win, win!

You can see the main bedroom down the hall from the kitchen on the first floor, so it is

nice that everything looks so Christmassy!

I am not sure if you can still find holiday bedding at HomeGoods or anywhere else
at this point in the season.  This is not a sponsored post.  I did this all on my own.
However, if you find a set you like on sale after the holidays, I would pick
it up.  I have loved climbing into bed with my new festive quilt and holiday pillows
and throw.

You could even wait until next year.  There may be new styles and prints, which
is always fun but don't wait long to purchase a set.  My guess is they will
be very popular and go fast!

Enjoy your holiday season!
