I know I am a broken record, but I am yet again sitting at my desk watching more snow falling down outside the window. It is hard to get inspired, as I know I should, for spring with well over a foot and a half of snow everywhere I look and turn. So, in order to receive that inspiration, I looked back at my old work to see what I might find. It actually brought a smile to my face. I hope it does you too!
I will begin with a spring wreath I made a few years ago. I had forgotten about it. I wonder now where I put the bow and the silk flowers I used to make it. This wreath would look beautiful in my current dining room
if I could only remember where I put those things.
It was simple but I loved it anyway.
This is one of the many flower arrangements I have made over the years. This one is the essence of spring with spring colors and textures.
Another past spring project I am especially proud of was this moss table runner. It is made of fresh moss from the yard. My new house has tons and tons of moss in the yard; I mean to say when the snow melts. I should try making another one this spring. Unfortunately, I do not have the rustic picnic table
I owned at the old house. Maybe there is a spot I can try here, as well. We will see!
This was how the tablescape turned out with the moss runner. That was a very fun project~
Here is another one of my spring centerpieces. Kind of elegant, and somewhat
dramatic.
One spring I headed up a fundraiser for a garden club of which I was a member. Two of
us made these small pick-me-up bouquets and sold them for a minimal cost to
spread some happiness and make a little money for the club.
That was a fun and fulfilling project.
Yet another spring wreath I made.
It was made with leftover greens I somehow saved from the Christmas season (I think). I am sure I must have
purchased the eucalyptus fresh, however.
No look-back would be complete for me without once again showing my flower cupcake arrangements. I absolutely love these! I was always mad at myself for not finding a good way to market them. I
thought they would be awesome for bridal and baby showers. Don't you?
I was also kind of proud of this "not-so" naked cake I made for St. Patrick's Day. I guess it
really doesn't look all that naked, does it? I like frosting too much it appears.
You can see that post here if you would like.
Of course, you can always add immediate spring to your home simply by purchasing a few pots of tulips or hydrangeas. This is never a bad idea. It cheers you up instantly!
And finally, some Easter inspiration for you.
Here is another tablescape on that same picnic table I mentioned before. I do miss it.
It looks like I need to buy a new one!
I think I covered Easter eggs with washi tape here. I do find it fun to do
different
things with plastic Easter eggs. I have done quite a few over the years.
This was a non-floral Easter centerpiece I made.
It was made during the pandemic to set on a table just for two.
Do you remember those days?
This was a sweet craft project I did several years ago now. The wreath was something I thought would
look cute in a baby nursery.
One more Easter centerpiece for you to enjoy.
I hope so anyway!
I will be back with new material just as soon as we can shovel our way out of the
driveway. The snow is coming down pretty hard right now!
