Touches of Easter and Spring

Hi, everyone!  How are you doing?  Are you getting ready for Easter?  I am hosting this year so, I certainly am!  Last week I shared some of the Easter/Spring decorations in my living/dining room with you.  {I also did a little complaining about our recent weather, as well :)} You can read that story here, if you would like.  Today I am moving onto another room or two in my house to finish up with my mini Easter/Spring decorating series--just before Easter arrives.

***This is not a sponsored post.

My kitchen is tidied up here and will look nothing like this when Easter comes.  I do my best to have everything neat and clean and organized but, as soon as my children arrive with their families my kitchen is in a state of chaos.  That is just the way it is...and I wouldn't have it any other way.  The arrival of my family always involves baby gear, happy faces and lots of good food.  My daughters and daughter-in-law always bring food additions to every holiday to help out with the meal.  It is wonderful sampling their culinary talents and seeing what new recipes they have discovered.  It is much better than eating only my cooking, I can tell you that!

But until Easter Sunday comes, I enjoy the little touches of spring and Easter around the house.  Flowers, of course, are a great way to add color.  These daffodils just scream, "Spring!" and make you feel happy.

I bought these malted milk Easter eggs to add some color on the counter but, my husband was very disappointed because they are not the chocolate filled kind.  I guess I'll be going back to the store to find some of the chocolate kind soon ;).

In truth, my kitchen could use a bit more color.  I'll have to work on that during the week.

I purchased this great organizer from Pottery Barn years ago.  I store my various tools in it so that they are at my fingertips whenever needed.

I continually change the way I decorate these shelves for the various holidays/seasons.  Right now they display a "Happy Easter" message.  I kept it simple as I had for the winter but, added a few new items and also some extra color.  When Spring actually hits I will probably change out the plates for more colorful ones, as well.

Next, I moved onto my newly renovated bathroom.  I added just a few simple touches in there, as well.  Nothing big deal, just enough to add some color~

I think for Easter I will put these flowers in a vase :).

Pink and green look so good together this time of year, don't you think?

I even added a few Spring touches to the commode~

Just to bring in some springy colors against all the white~

I try to include some cute furry favorites around the house for the little ones.  (I enjoy them too!)

Now that most of the decorating is done, it is time for me to plan my Easter menu and go grocery shopping!

I hope you are enjoying planning for your Easter, too!
