A Wedding with Dahlias in Season!

Hi, Everyone!  I am sorry I have been among the missing for the last few weeks.  It turned out to be very overwhelming to go away for a week right before I was to prepare the flowers for a wedding and to create a blog post this week.  I was consumed with flowers and floral arrangements and all the preparation that goes along with that :).

But, I am back now and have lots to share with you!  I still want to tell you about my trip to Mackanac Island in Michigan but, I haven't had time to edit my pictures yet so, I thought I would share photos of the wedding I did this past weekend.  That's always fun!!!

Several months ago now I received a call from Carolyn, the bride-to-be.  She was calling from Texas where she is now living.  The wedding was going to be back in my neck of the woods where she was from, originally. Carolyn's aunt, Maureen, is a friend of mine from my garden club and she had told Carolyn that I do flowers for weddings. Maureen has always been one of my biggest fans and I truly appreciate her support.

The Joy of Little Gifts Part Two

Hi there!  Well, I am back from vacation.  What a great time I had!  My husband and I took a road trip from our home in Massachusetts to Mackinac Island, Michigan.  It is a wonderful place. I plan on telling you all about it in the coming weeks.  However, this week I will be working on doing the flowers for a special wedding and there won't be much time for writing and blogging once I begin that process.  So while I have a minute, I thought I would share Part Two of my "The Joy of Little Gifts" post with you.  If you would like to see Part One, you are welcome to see it here.

Taking a Little Vacation

Hi Everyone!  I am checking in to let you know that Designs and Events is taking a little break next week.  I am going to enjoy one last week of summer vacation before it is all over!!  Hubby and I are taking a road trip to some places we have not been before.  It is somewhat of a spur-of-the-moment thing.  Very exciting!  Hopefully, I will remember to take a few (good) pics and be able to share some of the experience with you.
