Autumn On a Tray Blog Tour

Hey, all!  Welcome to the "Autumn On a Tray Blog Tour".  Thank you to Katherine at Katherine's Corner for hosting and for inviting me to join in.  I am so excited and happy to be sharing my autumn tray décor with all of you today!

Katherine asked those of us joining in on the tour to put together an autumn tray using

our imagination and incorporating fall items that, hopefully, we had around the house.

I did pretty well on that front because I have so much stuff!

There were a few things that served as inspiration to me when I began to think about this tray design. The first one was a vase I found at my mom's house.  Mom is now in assisted living and, sadly, we will have to start deciding which of her treasures will stay and which ones will have to go. I found this green vase at her house recently and decided to take it home with me.  I thought it was so pretty.  I chose it because I liked the shape, it seemed to have "good bones" (if you can say that about a vase) and because it is my mother's .

These ceramic Pilgrim figurines ↓ were my second inspiration.  I purchased them years ago while on a shopping outing with my mom.  She liked them so well that she bought some for herself, too.  We found the figurines at a cool hardware store (of all things) in Orleans, Massachusetts.  I haven't taken them out for a few years but, thought they might be perfect for my tray.  I hope you agree.

It looks like much of the inspiration for my tray came from my mom~

Of course, flowers and figurines are not enough to finish a tray.  There is more to it than that :).

It takes a few fall elements, as well, like mini pumpkins....

and harvest colored candles...

and, maybe, some sparkly, artificial, glittery leaves.  I have to say, I love the glitter~

I used some dried eucalyptus stems as well as some fresh ones and placed them around the tray. The fresh ones were left over from making this flower arrangement.  The dried ones can from an arrangement I made a few weeks ago.  Eucalyptus is very versatile. You can use it fresh or dried.

I also threw in a felted berry pick.  Do you see it in the lower right-hand corner?  I was fortunate that all the colors went together so well.  Autumn is great for that.

Now, I need to find where this autumn tray can be best showcased in my home.
I am thinking, perhaps, on the dining room table.

Where will you put your autumn tray?

Thank you to all of you who have come over from Celebrate and Decorate.  I am so happy you have stopped by.  Please now continue the Autumn on a Tray Blog Tour by hopping over to Debbie Styles Life to see her beautiful tray.

Happy Creating!!!

Thanks again to Katherine for including me in her "Autumn On a Tray Blog Tour".
This has been fun!
