Hey, all! Thanksgiving is approaching and I am thinking of getting out the Christmas boxes from the attic and starting to decorate the house...
Hey, all! Welcome to the "Autumn On a Tray Blog Tour". Thank you to Katherine at Katherine's Corner for hosting and for inviting me to join in. I am so excited and happy to be sharing my autumn tray décor with all of you today!
Katherine asked those of us joining in on the tour to put together an autumn tray using
our imagination and incorporating fall items that, hopefully, we had around the house.
I did pretty well on that front because I have so much stuff!
There were a few things that served as inspiration to me when I began to think about this tray design. The first one was a vase I found at my mom's house. Mom is now in assisted living and, sadly, we will have to start deciding which of her treasures will stay and which ones will have to go. I found this green vase at her house recently and decided to take it home with me. I thought it was so pretty. I chose it because I liked the shape, it seemed to have "good bones" (if you can say that about a vase) and because it is my mother's .
It looks like much of the inspiration for my tray came from my mom~
Of course, flowers and figurines are not enough to finish a tray. There is more to it than that :).
It takes a few fall elements, as well, like mini pumpkins....

A beautiful autumn filled tray my friend, pinned, and thank you for joining in the fun. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Katherine, for letting me join in. It has been a great experience!

DeleteBeautiful tray Christine and I love that the inspiration came from your Mom. The pilgrims are perfect and the candles just add so much. It doesn't matter where you end up putting it, it will catch the eye anywhere! Have a great weekend!

DeleteChristine, this a lovely tray, especially since the inspiration came from your mother. I love the glitter against the more casual elements, and those flowers are spectacular!

DeleteChristine, the tray is extra special because of your mom's vase! All the elements work beautifully together and the pilgrims figurines make it perfect for a Thanksgiving centerpiece.
