Leading Up to the Ceremony---A Summer Cape Cod Wedding

The holidays are over, and things have somewhat simmered down for me, and I finally have time to look over the professional photos of the wedding I did in July for Erin and Pat.  They are the most wonderful couple you'd ever want to meet.  My story with them began in 2019 when they contacted me to do the flowers for their wedding scheduled for May of 2020.  Well, we all know what happened to weddings in 2020.  However, Erin and Pat did get married in 2020, by hook or by crook in a tiny ceremony held at their home church.  If you would like to see how that played out from my end, you may see it here.

After scheduling and re-scheduling, the Cape Cod wedding of their dreams, it was finally able to take place in July of 2021.  Since this wedding took so long to happen and, for me, was large in scale, I am going to divide the telling of the story into a few posts.  So, we will begin the tale by showing what took place right before the ceremony.

The ceremony and reception were both held at the Wychmere Beach Club in Harwich, Massachusetts.  Having grown up on Cape Cod myself, it was especially fun for me to do this wedding for Erin and Pat, not to mention they were the sweetest couple to work with!  And the Wychmere Beach Club is one of the most exclusive wedding venues on the Cape.

Here is Erin arriving for the pre-wedding photo shoot.

The bouquets had been delivered and ready for show.

As you can see, she had many bridesmaids attending to her.  Lovely~

And two flower girls.  So cute~

So much fun!

Nellie, Pat and Erin's yellow lab, was their pride and joy and was a large part of their wedding.

Here were the leash and the collar I decorated to make Nellie look even more pretty than she is.  I am not sure the collar stayed together all day but, I did my best :).

Pat's mom wanted to pin on his boutonniere herself.  So special!

Dad waited patiently for his beautiful daughter to arrive to be escorted down the aisle.

Memorable!

I will share the rest of this special day in upcoming posts.  Until then...
