Part of getting "back into the swing of things" is to start blogging again and reconnecting with all of you. Today, I thought it would be fun to tell you about a cool wild life sanctuary we have right here in my town of Groton. I discovered it last year after living here for more years than I would like to admit. I am pretty embarrassed about that!
Taking a Wintry Walk in a Wild Life Sanctuary
Welcome, all! I am trying to get back into the swing of things after the excitement of the births of my two newest grand babies a few weeks ago. I have to admit that is a hard thing to do but, I am trying, nonetheless. I won't go on and on about the babies but...who am I kidding? If you'd like to get a glimpse of the babies, you can check them out here ;).

Double Blessings!
Hi, Everyone! I am dropping in today just for a second to explain why I might be taking a week or two off from blogging. Last week turned out to be quite a week for my family! Rather than using too many words, I feel it is best to show you the story in pictures.
First, there came our new grandson, Finn~ He arrived on Monday, weighing 7 lbs. 4 ounces :).

A "Winter Meets Spring" Bouquet
Hi, Everyone! I wasn't sure if I would be posting much this month or not because my two daughters were due to give birth in January. Well, guess what!! One baby has been born! We welcomed a new grandson into the world on Monday and his name is Finn Thomas (middle name). Thomas is my husband's name so there are thrills all around! Mom and baby are doing very, very well and we are so thrilled!
Some of My Favorite Photos from 2017
Welcome! As January is inching along, I am currently doing some house cleaning: literally and figuratively. In this process, I have been going over the hundreds of photos I took in 2017. As a blogger and participant in social media, I seem to take zillions of photos but, only a very few make it to "print". Since there is so much work involved with the whole process and I really did come to love several of them, I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorites with you one more time before we get much farther into 2018. Some of the photos are from Instagram. Some are from this blog. Some were your favorites and some were ones that only a mother could love since they were not overly popular on social media~~~I loved them anyway ;).
My Winter Gingerbread Village
Welcome! Well, 2018 has come in with a bang! I am sitting here at my computer watching out the window as a "blizzard" unfolds before my eyes. The snow falling is lovely and so far, there are no heavy winds so, all is good! Hopefully, the storm won't be as bad as they have forecasted.
Every year after Christmas I seem to need to ease out of the holidays. I either have to do some kind of transitional decorating or I do a craft to ease into full-blown winter. This year, since most of my holiday decorations are still up (They will be coming down very soon. I promise.), I decided to go with a craft. I came upon a clearance section last week while doing some after Christmas shopping and decided to purchase three gingerbread house kits, one large and two small. The total cost of the three homes was $5.50. Not bad for a fun craft!
