Decorating the House for the Season
Hi, all! Here I am again with more Christmas decorations. This time the view is from inside my house. This post is a little all over the place but, that is how I am feeling this Christmas season. I am enjoying all sorts of things like Christmas concerts and Christmas cookie decorating. Generally spending time with my family. BUT, the shopping is not done and I am getting a little nervous about that. I am sure it will all work out. I'm just sayin'.
Making A Christmas Entrance
Hi, there! I hope all is well with you as we are quickly entering December 2021. You know how when you tell yourself that you are going to get something accomplished by a certain date and you don't, how exasperated you are with yourself? Well, that is how I feel about my Christmas decorating. I told myself it would be done by Thanksgiving, and it was not for various reasons. But I have managed to get much of it done by today. So, I thought I would show you my progress when it comes to the entry of my home.
Thanksgiving Tablescape
Hey there! I hope you don't mind but, I am going to re-post a Thanksgiving tablescape I did a few years ago. I really loved this one and wanted to show it to you anew, especially to those of you who did not see it the first time :).

A Christmas Twist on a Mason Jar Tutorial
Hi! How are you all doing? I am enjoying yet another nice fall day here in my area of the world. I have an exciting blog post coming out at the end of this week but for today, I am looking forward to Christmas and sharing an easy tutorial with you.
Fall Farms, Foliage and Flourishes
Hey, everyone! How's it going? We are having an especially nice fall here in Massachusetts. Lots of sun and warm days. Can't beat that! Even with the warm weather it is time to be fully decorated for fall and also to enjoy the joys of the season. I would like to share some of both with you today.
A Wedding Color Palette of Yellows, Creams, Whites and Sage Green
A Boutonniere Contest~ You Can Join In!
Hey there! I have to apologize for being absent from my blog for these past few weeks. Life has been at a rapid pace and mixed in there my husband got very sick (not COVID) a few weeks ago. Thankfully, he is fully recovered. All of this has thrown my blogging and truthfully life rhythm off but, I am hoping to get it back!
The Wedding Ceremony at Wychmere
Today I am sharing the continued wedding story of Erin and Pat from last month which took place on Cape Cod at the Wychmere Harbor Club in Harwich. I meant to carryon with the story weeks ago but, summer "things" must have gotten in the way 😀. Also, I usually like to wait until the professional photos have come in before showing my wedding flowers because those photos are so much better than mine. But, it was such a beautiful wedding and so much went into it from my point of view that I figured I would share some more of the story with you from the floral side of things. If you would like to read about the bouquets, boutonnieres, etc., you can read about them here. Today, it is the outdoor ceremony that I want to share with you.
This was the sign that greeted the guests as they approached the side yard of the club, which was where the outdoor ceremony would take place.
When all Else Fails Try Garden Art
Hi there! How are you all doing? This has been a tough flower growing season for me... mainly because I have been invaded by bunnies! They are as cute as can be and they seem to be VERY comfortable with my presence in the garden but, they are eating all of my flowers!! I am devastated! I had grown zinnias and Mexican sunflowers from seed and they were doing wonderfully. I had also purchased some beautiful zinnias, as well. Most of them are gone now. So, so sad!
Finding New Ways to Decorate My Deck
A Prom Corsage for Julia and her Friends
Hi all! I haven't been blogging as consistently lately as I would like. There have been reasons, however. I caught a bad cold, my newly widowed sisters-in-law came to Massachusetts for a visit and finally, and most importantly, I was asked to make the wrist corsages for my granddaughter and her friends for their prom last week. That task was my focus for the whole week. I wanted to make my granddaughter proud.
Starting Plants in My New Aero Gardener and My New Raised Bed Garden
I want to preface this whole post by saying that I really do not know what I am doing or talking about. I am simply sharing my experience with a garden craze that I am arriving late to. I have always been a flower gardener not a vegetable gardener. It seemed easier to me to go to the grocery store and buy what I wanted for vegetables and, besides, I considered vegetable gardens kind of ugly.
Mother's Day Puppy Flower Arrangements For Sale
I was thinking recently about Mother's Day and what I might offer in the way of arrangements to my customers in my local community this year. As I thought about it, I remembered some fun puppy arrangements I made a few years ago for my grandson's first birthday party and one I made for my daughter for Valentine's Day. They were so much fun to make! I will be sharing some photos of those in another post next week. All of this got me to thinking how much my mother would love to receive such an arrangement so, I am going to make her one. I thought, maybe, your mother, loved one or friend might like one, as well.
Therefore, I have decided to offer two Mother's Day Puppy Arrangements to be purchased locally for this upcoming Mother's Day.
A Bells of Ireland Arrangement
Hi all! Last week I told you about cleaning and sprucing up my "she" shed. To my surprise and delight that post actually got featured on Thursday Favorite Things this week. Very exciting! Thank you Amber for the shout out. In that post I explained that the cleaned up shed had inspired me to be florally creative in there again. I ran out and grabbed some flowers.
An Outdoor Easter Egg Tablescape
Welcome! I hope you have been experiencing wonderful weather in your neck-of-the-woods like we have been here in New England. It's been beautiful, especially considering it is March. March can be brutal here at times so, I am taking in every day that I can. Today, I am going to share with you an outdoor Easter egg tablescape I created for the Easter season.

Valentine Vignettes
Hi there! I had decided this year that I was not going to decorate for Valentine's Day. Every year it seems like I have just taken down Christmas and winter decorations when it is time for Valentine's Day. The Valentine season is just too short to decorate my house for.
Two Offerings for Valentine's Day and How to Place an Order
Hey, all! I am happy to tell you some exciting news coming from Mitchell & Company Designs and Events. Not only are we offering a February Pick Me Up Arrangement, we are also offering a Valentine's Day Basket too! Both will be offered at the same time and delivered on February 12th or 13th, just in time for Valentine's Day!
Valentine's Day Flower Arrangements and Your Opinion
Hey there! How are you? Are you getting through winter ok? The weather here in Massachusetts has been pretty good so far. Of course, a 2' snowstorm could creep up on us at any moment but, so far, so good!
This week I have been working on creating a Valentine's Day offering for my Pick-Me-Up Arrangement in February. I am also working on presenting a curated basket filled with the flower arrangement and some other goodies for people who would like a more substantial gift or treat for Valentine's Day.
The Styling of a Cabinet in January
Wow it is January 14th already! Time does fly even in the winter! I think I have removed pretty much all of the Christmas red from my home by now and slowly I am creating a cleansing palette of white for winter decorating. I have to say I am happy with the uncluttered look that happens after the holidays.
Trying to Make an After Christmas Dried Orange Wreath
Hi, Everyone. I am having a hard time after the holidays getting engaged. The end of 2020 turned out to be even more difficult for my husband and me than the beginning of the pandemic. In the span of three months my husband lost a brother and two of his brothers-in-law. In fact, his brother-in-law, Bob, who along with his sister, Judy, have been our best friends for several decades now, passed away from cancer two weeks before Christmas. It was a devastating time for the whole family and, truly, it has been hard to get over.
